It seems to me that an HVAC filter (regardless of type) that is installed in a ceiling duct will last longer than one near the floor or, even worse, one in the floor. Simply because of gravity only the finer dust particles will make it up to the ceiling to be come trapped. So, my question is: Are the recommended times for changing a filter based on floor, wall or ceiling installations? And, how much longer can a filter be considered "good" in ceilings versus wall or floor? Thanks.
